The addition of epic units is just too awesome.
Once you've got it to heroic status there's no stopping it from rampaging through an enemy's base.
Just look at the 2 screenies below of my Redeemer with heroic status, 1 flame pod and 1 missile pod.

With it's amazing rate of recovery, nothing can stop it. Except, well, another epic unit.
